Who we are
Toolflint (“we,” “us,” or “the Site”) is an online AI-software publication at toolflint.com. Contact for privacy requests must be made through the active address listed on our Contact page. At publication, that page contains a clearly marked placeholder and is not a functioning privacy-request channel.
Information you provide
The launch site has no comments, newsletter, login, or contact form. Do not send personal information to the placeholder email address. If direct correspondence is enabled later, we may receive your email address and the contents you send so we can respond and keep appropriate records.
Hosting and technical logs
The Site is delivered over HTTPS using Firebase Hosting, a Google service. Like most hosting providers, it may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, and security-related logs to deliver and protect the Site. Cloudflare provides domain/DNS services. The current site does not use those providers to create an advertising profile on our behalf.
Cookies and local technologies
At launch, Toolflint does not deliberately set analytics, advertising, or personalization cookies and does not load ad scripts. Essential infrastructure may still process the technical data needed to operate a secure website.
We may later add privacy-respecting audience measurement or advertising. Before enabling non-essential cookies or similar identifiers where consent is required, we will provide an appropriate notice and consent mechanism and update this policy. Your device or browser may also let you clear or restrict cookies, though essential website functions could be affected.
Google AdSense and advertising
Toolflint plans to apply for Google AdSense; no AdSense code or publisher ID is active at launch. Google AdSense is not currently serving ads on this site.
If approved and enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to serve, personalize, or measure advertisements. Subject to applicable law and your choices, these technologies may use information about visits to this and other sites. Personalized ads may rely on prior activity; non-personalized or limited ads may use different data and legal bases.
You can learn about Google’s controls at Google My Ad Center and about its technology policy at How Google uses information from sites or apps. Additional controls may be available through AboutAds.info or its regional equivalents.
Analytics
No analytics provider is enabled during this first release. If Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, another audience-measurement service, or an equivalent technology is added later, this policy will name it and explain relevant data, retention, and choices before collection begins.
Outbound and affiliate links
Our articles link to vendor sites and official documentation. Following these links takes you to websites we do not control; their privacy practices apply. Some future links may be affiliate links. If so, a retailer or affiliate network may receive referral information and attribute a qualifying purchase to Toolflint. We do not receive your payment-card details from an ordinary affiliate referral.
Sharing and legal disclosures
At launch, we do not sell or rent personal information and do not have reader accounts to expose. Service providers may process limited operational data to host and protect the Site. We may disclose information to comply with valid legal obligations, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or as part of a genuine business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
Retention and security
Operational logs should be kept only as long as reasonably needed for delivery, security, troubleshooting, legal obligations, and dispute prevention. Future correspondence should be retained only as long as it is useful and lawful to keep. No website or transmission is completely secure; do not send passwords, card details, credentials, government identifiers, or confidential business material to this project.
International processing and your rights
Our hosting and advertising providers may process information in countries other than yours. Applicable safeguards vary by provider and location. Depending on your residence, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a relevant supervisory authority. California and other US-state privacy laws may provide additional rights.
Where advertising involves the sale or sharing of personal information as defined by applicable law, a clear opt-out will be provided when required. We will not knowingly penalize someone for exercising privacy rights.
Children
Toolflint is intended for a general business and technology audience, not children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through user accounts, forms, or comments, none of which are active at launch.
Policy changes
We will update the effective date and revise this page when data practices change materially. Enabling an advertising, analytics, email, or account service without making the corresponding policy update would be an incomplete implementation.
